2024 Alumni Award Winners Revealed by College of Education and Health Professions

The recipients include Naccaman Williams, Curtis L. Ivery, Judd Semingson, Jennifer Ash, and Jordan Glenn.

Dean Kate Mamiseishvili expressed excitement about honoring these individuals, stating that they epitomize excellence in the fields of education and health. Mamiseishvili praised their distinguished careers, noting their innovative thinking, leadership by example, and profound impact on people’s lives.

Naccaman Williams, recipient of the Distinguished Public Service Award, currently serves as the director of special projects at the Walton Family Foundation (WFF). With a wealth of experience spanning higher education and philanthropy, Williams oversees significant grants and advises the foundation’s executive office. He has held various leadership roles, including serving on boards and contributing to educational initiatives. Williams holds degrees from Ouachita Baptist University and the University of Arkansas.

Curtis L. Ivery, honored with the Distinguished Career in Education Award, is the chancellor of the Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD). Renowned as a thought leader and equity advocate, Ivery has led WCCCD to become the largest urban multi-campus community college district in Michigan. He has spearheaded initiatives to promote educational equity and economic mobility, earning recognition for his contributions to education. Ivery has also authored numerous books and received prestigious awards throughout his career.

Judd Semingson, recipient of the Distinguished Career in Health Award, serves as the chief executive officer at Community Clinic in Northwest Arkansas. With over two decades of experience in healthcare, Semingson has risen from a registered nurse to an advanced practice nurse specializing in family practice. His leadership at Community Clinic reflects a commitment to providing quality primary care and fostering community connections.
