He has held various leadership roles, including serving on boards and contributing to educational initiatives. Williams holds degrees from Ouachita Baptist University and the University of Arkansas.
Curtis L. Ivery, honored with the Distinguished Career in Education Award, is the chancellor of the Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD). Renowned as a thought leader and equity advocate, Ivery has led WCCCD to become the largest urban multi-campus community college district in Michigan. He has spearheaded initiatives to promote educational equity and economic mobility, earning recognition for his contributions to education. Ivery has also authored numerous books and received prestigious awards throughout his career.
