Apple’s Vision Pro is expected to be available worldwide shortly after the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, according to a report by Bloomberg’s tech journalist Mark Gurman. The Vision Pro was first unveiled in the United States in February 2024.
Sources familiar with the matter informed Bloomberg that Apple has already begun training hundreds of its store employees to demonstrate the Vision Pro. The training sessions reportedly include staff from various countries, such as Germany, France, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and China.
This suggests that these regions will be among the first to receive the device following its international release.
It is also anticipated that Apple will introduce the new VisionOS 2 operating system at the WWDC, offering developers new tools and features for creating apps for the headset.
Since the Vision Pro’s launch in the U.S., there have been increasing signs that the initial excitement surrounding the device is waning. According to Apple store employees, there has been a rise in scheduled product demonstrations where the interested parties fail to show up.
Additionally, rumors are circulating that Apple has reduced the production numbers of the Vision Pro. Initial reviews from testers indicate that the early enthusiasm for the headset quickly diminishes and that its usage declines over time – a phenomenon seen with many other VR headsets as well.
The cost of the Vision Pro in Germany remains unknown at this time.
